A progressive, growing division of a publicly traded medical components company is searching for a Director of Manufacturing. This position is open due to the promotion of a valued employee.
This Plant Manager will be responsible for plant operations within a continuous improvement environment. Knowledge of scheduling, quality, material and continuous improvement systems is a must. Past experience working in a FDA / GMP environment is strongly preferred. Interested candidates should have a four year degree and either 5 years of engineering or operations management within a manufacturing or machining environment. Candidates must have a strong work history or real continues improvements and completed major projects to stream line the manufacturing operation. Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma or Kaizen, and project experience is strongly desired. Past experience managing large budgets, capital projects, product cost, profit and loss is a must.

This facility produces precision machined bone screws, medical implants, orthopedic devices and surgical instruments. We would prefer candidates with a strong manufacturing / machining background. MUST HAVE: a four year degree, lean manufacturing or Six Sigma experience, leadership skills, operations and a strong technical manufacturing and or precision machining background. Six Sigma Black Belts are preferred. FDA, GMP and/or direct medical experience is also strongly desired.
