This position will lead cross-functional project team efforts for Generational Development of Stem Cell Selection programs. Leader of the project core team responsible for translating customer, business, or product needs into product/project requirements and leading the subsequent development program.
Accountable for all aspects of the development on a new or existing product including planning, staffing projections, schedules, budgets, and design related deliverables. The candidate will be involved with driving product development through the company’s Product Development Process (PDP) in collaboration with the Project Approval Committee (PAC), Marketing, Quality, Manufacturing and other functional management for Concept through Launch Phases.
Analyzes and provides technical information, constraints, manufacturing and service considerations to the broader team to ensure that the best product lifecycle decisions are generated by the multidisciplinary project teams.
This position will require a person capable of bold leadership, collaborative decision-making, and inspirational focus on rapidly bringing a major new product to serve the global needs of patients requiring safe and reliable Stem Cell Therapy.
Requirements:
BS/MS in an engineering discipline or other hard science field.
Minimum 15 yrs. of product life cycle or product development experience in a biotechnology, pharmaceutical or medical products company (10 years with Master, 7 years with Ph.D.) and 7+ years project management experience with increasing complexity, including experience managing enterprise-wide projects
Demonstrated outstanding leadership skills commensurate with the requirements for a director level position, communication, interpersonal and influence management skills.
General competency across the following engineering disciplines: systems, software, mechanical, electrical, and disposables.
Must have the ability to operate in a complex field involving integration of biologic, disposable and electromechanical device subsystems.
Must have a demonstrated record of successful product developments and commercialization.
NPD experience with complex medical devices.
General understanding and significant experience with project management discipline, planning, execution, and related tools.
Competency in biologics and cell therapy/cell selection desirable.
Knowledgeable in stage/gate product development processes, project deliverables and design controls. |
