Job Summary:
*Provides superior customer service through listening to customers, anticipating their needs, and recommending financial services.
*Fully proficient is the sales and service of personal and business retail products
*Comfortable with consumer lending and application process
*Performs proactive selling and cross sells
*Opens new account's, takes loan applications, and refers customers to specialized bankers, such as Business Bankers and Mortgage Originators to ensure the needs of the customers are met.
*Educates customers on automated service options available including ATMs, Internet Banking, etc.
*Supports the goals of the branch through effective teamwork.
*As indicated by level, may assist with routine Teller transactions on an on-going basis, may train new employees, may assist Branch Manager, etc.
*Pursues on-going education of SunTrust products, services, and other lines of business.

Skills:
|
Required Skills:
*Minimum of 1 year of successful Teller experience or sales experience
*Previous customer service experience
*Previous cash handling experience
*Ability to read and comprehend written material
*Must have the ability to learn SunTrust’s products and services and effectively use sales activities to achieve goals
*High School Diploma or GED
Preferred Skills:
*6 months as an FSR 1 or equivalent
*Basic Platform skills and Advanced Teller experience
*Previous banking experience helpful
*Successful teller experience
*Some college
